WHY SHOULD YOU BECOME A STAKEHOLDER OF GBRCCC?

Our organization is your link to technological expertise, government policy developments, and project facilitation assistance.  We are connected to equipment manufacturers, fuel suppliers, fleet managers, planners, engineers, economists, and industry associations nation-wide.  Through federal sponsorship, membership fees, grants, and voluntary efforts of our members, we can offer the following benefits:

Expand your network of industry contacts
Provide access to technology research reviews
Promote your organization at public events
Keep you updated on alternative fuel news
Set up workshops and training sessions
Assist in efforts to obtain funding for your projects

The mission of the Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition is to expand and improve the availability of alternative fueled vehicles in our region.  We are part of several partnerships with plans to provide research reports, training programs, and public outreach for the purpose of promoting advanced fueling technologies.  As a GBRCCC Stakeholder, you will have the opportunity to guide the projects in which the organization will participate throughout the coming years and benefit from the valuable services it provides.

Currently, Louisiana has two designated Clean Cities programs (Baton Rouge and New Orleans) and one in the works (Shreveport).   The coordinators are making efforts to establish markets for biodiesel, ethanol, compressed natural gas, propane, hydrogen, batteries, and/or electricity as vehicle fuels.

Coalition activities involve organizing events, hosting meetings, providing materials, offering legislative input, and attending educational conferences. Stakeholders throughout the region gain value through our Clean Cities University curriculums, weekly technical reports, and training experiences.  These national resources provided to Coordinators guarantee that our coalition has the most updated technical and policy information available.

The GBRCCC operates as a 501(c)(3) organization and has elected officers  that provide management  oversight for the organization on a volunteer basis.  The coalition’s Coordinator is a part-time position supported through a Louisiana Department of Natural Resources contract.  Your membership dues and charitable donations are applied directly towards the organization’s operating budget to fund activities that serve the GBRCCC mission.  The value is clear.  Clean Fuels for Clean Cities.
