By joining the GBRCCC, you will also receive several benefits from your participation as a member. These benefits include networking with GBRCCC members, improving air quality, and active participation in making your community a better place to live. The GBRCCC, is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit corporation, so your membership may be tax deductible.
Another benefit to becoming a member is access to industry experts regarding the purchasing of alternative fuel vehicles, refueling of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and fleets and the various types of alternative fuels and their benefits to the environment.
Every year, the GBRCCC hosts various training sessions for members of the organization. These training and information sessions include, but are not limited to annual stakeholder meetings, talks by industry experts on available AFVs, emissions in our area as well as talks with local fleet owners and their success stories with various fuels and vehicles. Also, throughout the year, training will be available for fleet managers and their maintenance staffs on the latest fuels and technologies.
However, one of the most important benefits of becoming a member of the GBRCCC is funding opportunities throughout the year that are announced by the Department of Energy and other agencies and organizations. These funding opportunities are for a multitude of areas including vehicle purchase, infrastructure installation, fuel purchasing, research requests and others. As an added incentive, DOE grants to the State Energy Programs for AFVs are available only to Clean Cities members. As a member of the GBRCCC, you will receive notification when these opportunities are announced and assistance in preparing the grant application, if you wish to apply.
