The mission of the Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition is to help advance the nation’s economic, environmental, and energy security by promoting local practices that contribute to the reduction of petroluem fuels consumption. As a member of the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program, the Coalition strives to achieve its goals by employing a variety of strategies including alternative fuel vehicles, fuel blends, increased fuel economy, hybrid vehicles, and idle reduction technologies.
